Activate Iridium telemetry without waiting for a quote.
Calculate your deployment cost first. Then enter and verify eligible Iridium Certus 9704 or SBD 9602 / 9603 IMEIs, purchase the required credits, move directly into activation, and access the resulting telemetry through the dashboard or API.
Telemetry Station is Pacific Gyre's self-service Iridium platform for OEMs, integrators, environmental operators, and field teams that want transparent deployment economics and direct access to their telemetry.
Use Telemetry Station when Iridium connectivity is part of the product or operation you are building.
Telemetry Station brings airtime planning, IMEI-based provisioning, activation, prepaid account operations, device management, message retention, and API access into one self-service workflow.
What has to happen before an Iridium device is ready for the field?
The practical customer flow is simple: calculate the deployment, enter and verify the eligible IMEIs, purchase the required credits so activation can begin immediately, then access the resulting telemetry through the dashboard or API.
Calculate the deployment, enter the eligible IMEIs, purchase the required credits and move directly into activation, then access and manage the resulting telemetry through the platform.
Telemetry Station is designed for technical teams that want Iridium airtime planning, provisioning, activation, device operations, message retention, and API access without rebuilding the commercial and operational layer around the satellite connection.
Calculate
Model the expected deployment cost and select the best-fit Telemetry Station plan
IMEI
Enter and verify each eligible Iridium device identifier
Activate
Purchase the required credits and move immediately into the supported provisioning flow
Data
View, download, and retrieve retained telemetry through the dashboard and API
Four steps from calculator to usable telemetry.
The workflow is intentionally simple: calculate the deployment, enter and verify eligible IMEIs, purchase the required credits and move directly into activation, then access supported telemetry.
Calculate your deployment
Enter your network, payload size, reporting interval, device count, and deployment timing. Telemetry Station compares its supported plans and shows the expected deployment cost before you continue.
Enter and verify your IMEIs
Add the eligible Iridium Certus 9704 and SBD 9602, or 9603 IMEIs you want to activate. Each IMEI is verified before checkout so the deployment is ready to provision.
Purchase credits and activate
Purchase the required Telemetry Station credits at checkout. After successful payment, the supported activation request moves immediately into the provisioning flow; final network activation timing remains subject to Iridium and device eligibility.
Access your data
Once the device is active and transmitting, use the Telemetry Station dashboard and API to view device status, retrieve retained telemetry, download messages, and manage the deployment.
Built for the operational layer around Iridium-connected devices.
The value is not simply airtime. It is making Iridium deployments easier to plan, provision, activate, operate, and connect to the software systems that use the telemetry.
Provision Iridium devices without the usual quote-first workflow
Telemetry Station is built to move technical teams from deployment assumptions and IMEIs to an activation-ready workflow without treating every device as a manual service request.
Understand airtime economics before devices leave the lab
Model payload size, reporting interval, device count, deployment duration, plan fees, included usage, and overage behavior before committing hardware to the field.
Manage the device after activation, not just the first transaction
Keep activation status, scheduled deployments, prepaid credits, suspension, device state, usage, and account projections in one operating workflow.
Keep satellite messages available to your software and teams
Telemetry Station provides up to five years of message retention, with no standard storage fee, while the account remains active and in good standing, subject to the Terms. Retained supported telemetry is available through the dashboard and API.
Specific enough for Iridium. Broad enough for the industries that depend on remote connected hardware.
Telemetry Station is designed for teams whose devices already need satellite connectivity—not for general-purpose consumer IoT.
A focused self-service Iridium layer backed by Pacific Gyre engineering.
The platform is most useful when your organization already has a remote-device problem to solve and wants to spend less time on airtime administration, provisioning, and fragmented telemetry access.
What is the easiest way to activate an Iridium device?
Use a self-service workflow that lets you calculate the deployment, enter and verify eligible IMEIs, purchase the required credits and move directly into activation, then access the resulting telemetry through the dashboard and API. Telemetry Station is built to reduce the manual coordination normally required to put an Iridium device on service.
When should a team use Telemetry Station?
Use Telemetry Station when you already have, manufacture, integrate, or operate Iridium-connected hardware and want a clearer way to compare airtime, activate devices, manage deployments, and access stored satellite telemetry.
What does Telemetry Station replace?
Telemetry Station reduces the need for quote-first airtime buying, spreadsheet-based plan comparisons, manual IMEI provisioning, separate prepaid balance tracking, fragmented device operations, and short-lived access to satellite messages.
What happens after the device transmits?
Telemetry Station sits between Iridium-connected devices and the engineering or operational systems that need their messages. The platform handles the commercial and operating workflow around airtime while keeping stored telemetry available for downstream software.
Common questions from teams deploying Iridium-connected devices.
How do I provision and activate an Iridium device?
Start with the calculator: enter the network, payload size, reporting interval, deployment timing, and device count. Then enter and verify the eligible IMEIs, purchase the required Telemetry Station credits, and continue directly into activation. Once the device is active and transmitting, access retained telemetry through the dashboard and API.
Which Iridium modems does Telemetry Station support?
The standard self-service workflow is intended for eligible Iridium Certus 9704 and Iridium SBD 9602 / 9603 modems. Eligibility depends on the modem service state, configuration, and deployment; Telemetry Station does not claim compatibility with every Iridium device.
Can Telemetry Station help choose the best Iridium plan?
Yes. The calculators model payload size, reporting interval, device count, deployment dates, included usage, plan fees, minimum billable message behavior, and overage costs. The recommendation identifies the lowest-cost Telemetry Station plan for the inputs you enter; it is not a market-wide lowest-price claim.
What happens to my telemetry after activation?
Telemetry Station provides up to five years of message retention, with no standard storage fee, while the account remains active and in good standing, subject to the Terms. Retained supported telemetry is available through the dashboard and API.
Can I configure custom SBD data destinations?
Custom SBD Email, DirectIP, and HTTPS destinations are currently preview-only and coming soon. They are not part of the enabled standard destination workflow today.
Is Iridium activation guaranteed in about five minutes?
No. Telemetry Station is designed to move a straightforward eligible deployment from estimate to activation in about five minutes, but timing is not guaranteed. Iridium provisioning, device eligibility, payment, network availability, and other third-party or deployment conditions can affect activation.
What happens to an inactive Telemetry Station account?
Under the current Terms, an account that remains inactive for 12 months may be closed and unused credits may expire or be forfeited, subject to applicable law and the notice provisions in the Terms.
Who is Telemetry Station for?
Telemetry Station is for device manufacturers, OEMs, satellite IoT integrators, environmental and ocean monitoring programs, maritime and offshore teams, industrial and remote infrastructure operators, universities, research groups, and engineering teams deploying Iridium-connected hardware.
Put Iridium airtime, activation, device operations, and telemetry access in one workflow.
Calculate the deployment, enter and verify device IMEIs, purchase the required credits and activate, then manage the devices and access retained telemetry through the dashboard and API.
